digitalmusings is no more. Welcome chris[live] !
I have been maintaining this blog (digitalmusings) since December 2004 - that's four years ago ! This has been a great source of pride for me and an outlet to express my views and interests on the going ons in the world that impact me. But my ability to blog at the same level as I used to in the past has slowly eroded just due to competing time constraints, definitely not due to a lack of interest on my part.
At the same time, the web 2.0 social web phenomenon has also skyrocketed in the intervening years and I'm finding that I am spending more and more time on Facebook, Twitter and Flickr. All these activites compete for my time in maintaining this blog. In a case of if you can't beat 'em, join 'em, I decided to create a new blog that pulls all my other social web activites into the same place and which allows me to also blog (or micro-blog) easily.
That blog is chris[live] and it's hosted on Tumblr, instead of my own server here. Essentially chris[live] is a lifestream / blog. I found that Tumblr does provide a very easy way to micro-blog original content or simply re-blogging or posting existing content that I find interesting on the Internet or content that I have created elsewhere.
So rather than have a stale blog, as digitalmusings has become (unfortunately), I much rather have a blog where I can post smaller entries a lot faster and a lot more regularly and which also aggregates content that I have created elsewhere. So you'll find that chris[live] will have a different tone to digitalmusings. Posts will be much shorter and more personal in nature as well.
I have quite a number of very popular posts on digitalmusings which I will keep here but to all visitors, I invite you to come and join me at chris[live].
