Enhancement requests for Firefox (Mac)

The Firefox team is proactive engaging the Mac user community and are soliciting enhancement requests for the team to consider for future versions of the browser. I think this is a great approach that the team is taking and they are aware that the Mac version of this browser can be improved.

Here's an excerpt from Colin Barrett's (part of the Mozilla team) blog :

As the Firefox release cycle marches onwards, there’s been a lot of talk about what sort of things are really affecting people day to day that we should fix, particularly on the Mac. If it’s anything, Mac users love to nitpick (guilty as charged).

So, fellow Appleites, I put it to you: What sucks about Firefox on the Mac? Send mail to macfirefox at this domain, and let me know what you think.

Personally for me, it would be great if they can improve on the performance and stability of the browser on Mac OS X. It's a great browser and definitely my browser of choice but with each revision, it seems to be getting slower and more prone to crashing.

Firefox desperately needs language translator plugins. It's the only browser that doesn't accept / doesn't have language/dictionary capabilites to hover your mouse over word on a foreign language site and have the translator kick in with the English translation. (Oddly - very oddly - it has a translator that translates English words on website to a foreign language.) This is a major reason I use Safari.

And also, fix the &@$# video issues. I took your advice and downloaded the plug in and it's too early to tell if that works, but having Firefox masquerade as another browser doesn't seem to be an effective solution.

On the plus, the RSS feed management system is great. Dropdown and see the tag lines for all the feeds. Fantastic! Much better than stupid Safari method of opening up a webpage and then have to scroll through it...
