Good sense prevails ! Jericho's back on !

Like many others, I wasn't a happy camper with the abrupt cancellation of Jericho after Season 1 ended on a cliff hanger (as they all do). After several weeks of mass petitioning, CBS has reversed their decision and have agreed to produce another seven episodes plus some additional online content before the start of this mini-season. Nina Tassler, President of CBS Entertainment, has left the door open for more episodes should ratings improve.

Personally I would rather they bring the show to a nice sensible conclusion at the end of the mini-season than to end it on another cliff hanger and leaving the viewers once again at the mercy of CBS bean counters.

Completely agree - I think Heroes tied up things nicely at the end of their season why can't they do the same with other series?

I was disappointed with the number of cancellations over the year before these shows could grow any sort of critical mass - Jericho, Day Break, Blade etc.. I would love to know what formula they use to determine whether or not a show needs an axing..

It's such a cut throat process. Shows are not given a large window to prove themselves. Quite a few shows have been cut after three or four episodes.
